Tagged by Josh

Well Josh tagged me, and since I'm bored at work, here are six weird things about me:

1. I'm a little obsessive compulsive. When I turn my alarm clock on at night, I flip the on/off switch back and forth many times until I am absolutely sure that it's on and won't fail me. I use to do it with light switches too because I was never satisfied with the position that the switch ended in, but I grew out of that one.

2. I eat a lot of salt...and I mean a lot. Whenever I get ketchup, I have to put a layer of salt over the top of it, or else it's likely I won't like it. And when I say a layer of salt, I mean you can't see the color of the ketchup underneath the whiteness of the salt.

3. I am one of 71 wives (I think that numbers right) to Josh. I am also married to three other girls- Brittani, Christina, and Laura.

4. When I'm reading a book, no matter how boring it might become, I feel extremely guilty if I even skip over a few words. I also have a weird loyalty to inanimate objects and the need to treat them fairly.

5. I have an outrageous fear of needles. It's almost irrational. Whenever I think about them my arms go limp and feel funny, especially on the inside of my arms where veins are exposed (like they are now because I'm thinking about them). I don't like looking at veins. Needless to say, my attempt to get over this fear by donating blood was not a pleasant experience.

6. Unlike most people who are happy to be out on a bright sunny day, I have a great day sometimes just because the sky is dark and gloomy. I thrive on dark, cloudy, rainy, and stormy days.

Only at NMSU is this a crisis

I think New Mexico is funny.

I've received several emails today from work, the university, and other various people warning everyone to prepare for the blizzard of the century tomorrow! It's predicted that we're getting 5-8 inches of snow tomorrow morning and we're suppose to stay alert to the weather and cancelations that are expected. Everyone's going crazy about fueling up their cars, getting firewood, and buying extra groceries to survive on.

Come on people. This is not a hurricane. Nor a blizzard. Take it as a fun winter event that hardly ever happens here and enjoy it!

Live Journal

I haven't been updating this very much. Usually I just make the same post here at xanga and at live journal, but I'm seriously thinking about moving permanently over to live journal (not like it's a life-changing decision or anything). I'm not going to shut this down anytime soon, maybe I'll just use it as a fun, useless secondary blog. So if you're still coming here for all of your up-to-date-must-know-what-Mandy's-doing-all-the-time-because-I-love-her news, then go here instead: http://mandy-gryffin.livejournal.com/

I got talked into closing tonight, which wouldn't have been so bad except I have a terrible headache. But oh well. You know why? Because I bought my ticket for the 12:05am showing of Pirates of the Caribbean! It's pretty much my only opportunity to see it on the opening days. I work until ten that night, then I'll go home real quick and then go to the movies. I work the whole weekend and Monday, so maybe I'll go see it again on the Fourth of July.

Tis me again. I didn't do anything today except for work. All day. I clocked in at 10:56am and clocked out at 10:10pm. And I got a good paycheck. I spend a lot of my time thinking about Mike and being depressed because I'm just sitting around doing nothing so I think I'm going to channel everything into work. It keeps me busy and my mind off of most things other than work so it could only be good for me.
